Logic/Vifa oem small faceplate neo XT25
FL of Hong Kong was gracious enough to send a pair of these to test.
Nearfield frequency response-at one inch.
Impedance
FR on axis compared with the standard XT25 available to the diy'er.
Off axis family
Linear distortion
For the graphs, I've shorted things up by overlaying a couple of different frequencies.
First, 2k and 5k.
Now, 8, 11, and 15k.
Nonlinear distortion-NOTE FOR ALL CURVES, THE LOGIC IS IN RED AND THE SEAS 27TBFC/G IS IN BLACK.
Conclusion
The Logic is an OEM version of the XT25. It does not perform as well as the stock non-neo XT25. The FR is not nearly as smooth across the board, as confirmed by the subpar linear distortion curve. The nonlinear distortion also is undistinguished, with the OEM Logic version worse in all comparisons with the Seas 27TBFC/G. Now, you might say, "not fair." Well, I don't expect it to win the 2k comparison, but the 3k and 5k comparisons are also as good as the Seas. On the other hand, it does have a small faceplate and could be used in an MTM. It also seems to have a reasonable off axis family, only a little worse than a standard 1" dome. Not a bad tweeter by any means, but the competition at the top is tough!
